I thought I would put together an article on some blog writing tips, since I am such an expert on blog writing, lol, yeah right. I have been getting some good compliments on the look and feel of this blog, so I thought it was time to add some content substance to it. I have been using my blog to promote some of my products like my pinterest expert product, post videos, give away bonus items, lead generation, etc. But the truth it, I haven’t really been using it like I should be using this site. This is an internet marketing blog. If I am going to keep a blog, I need to make sure I actually make some helpful blog posts. So I have decided to add information to this blog daily, so I can help you with your internet marketing business.
Ironically, this first bit of information is going to be called “Blog Writing Tips.” I consult with local business owners all the time on how they need to keep their content updated on their websites, but yet I have never added information on my own website on how to do it. Writing a blog is time consuming, but once you get the hang of it, you will be able to take these blog writing tips and start a blog on any topic, in any niche you wish. So let’s get started.
First of all, lets discuss why you want a blog in the first place. You can use a blog for so many different reasons. Some of those reasons include: advertising, information, non-profits, community websites, etc. Adding a blogging component to a regular website is a great way to get more traffic to your website. You do not want a website to be stagnant or stale, you need to keep it fresh, keep the content updated, and keep adding your ideas to your blog.
5 Easy Blog Writing Tips – Step by Step
Step One: When writing a blog, keep your reader in mind. Don’t worry about stuffing keywords, or Search Engine Optimization, etc. If you do not know what SEO is, then you are in good shape. You really don’t need to know, you just need to write. Use a tone that you are comfortable with. Be yourself! Don’t try to be too perfect, your reader wants you to be casual, unless you are writing for WebMD of course.
Step Two: Don’t just post random information. Make sure you are posting information that is relevant to what your blog is about. Don’t bore your audience, find things that you can write about that would be interesting, be relevant, and entertaining. You can pretty much make ANYTHING entertaining if you just find something interesting about it.
Step Three: Make sure you read over your writing before you hit that publish button. Sometimes we have thoughts in our heads that want to come out so fast, but our fingers do not keep up and we end up typing something else. Do a quick read over your post, make sure it makes sense, doesn’t have spelling errors, etc. If you are using WordPress for your website, there is a built in spell checker, make sure you use it.
Step Four: Short, simple and to the point. There is no need to drag out your article forever. Just make your point, let your readers know why it is important, and close. People don’t have time to sit and read a novel, unless they are at the beach or on the lake looking forward to that. But if your are writing your blog to give daily tips and tricks to do something in a particular niche, then make it fast.
Step Five: You want to make sure you write clear and to the point. You need to have a headline that grabs the readers attention, so make sure you follow your headline and stick to the point. Do your best to not go off on some off topic idea and waste your readers time. Remember, one of the first things I told you about in this blog writing tips article is to “always keep your readers in mind while you write.” Think like Google, make it your goal to give your readers a great experience.
I hope you enjoyed this short article on “Blog Writing Tips.” You will start to see more and more articles on this blog from here on out. I know that keeping up a blog can be time consuming, but pretty soon it will just be a habit, something you do everyday without a problem, and you will have yourself an outstanding website.
